Shale Support, LLC, a leading provider of frac-sands and logistical solutions to the oil and gas proppant market, announces recent recognition for outstanding safety achievements across two facilities. The company maintained a recordable incident rate of zero for the year 2016.
The company was recently recognized with awards from two US mine safety organizations:
- A Certificate of Achievement in Safety from the Mine Safety & Health Administration (third consecutive year)
- The Sentinels of Safety Award from the National Mining Association (second consecutive year)
“We are extremely proud of our hardworking team for meeting our challenge of zero recordable incidents last year,” said Kevin Bowen, CEO for Shale Support. “It is because of their complete commitment to safe practices in the workplace, we are able to bring home awards from our nation’s most prestigious mining and safety organizations. We could not have achieved this without them and without the leadership of Mr. Scotti Bayman, our HSE and Quality Director.”
Each year, the National Mining Association presents Sentinels of Safety awards to the nation’s safest mines, which must have a minimum of 4,000 injury-free hours to be considered.
Certificates of Achievement in Safety are awarded to participating operations that have met the entire certificate criteria set out by the Mine Safety and Health Administration. The award recognizes mine operators who have a proven accident-free record during the previous calendar year.
