February 27, 2018 (HOUSTON) – Shale Support Holdings, LLC, a leading provider of frac-sands and logistical solutions to the oil and gas proppant market, today announced its increased availability for moving frac sand into the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.
“With activity picking up in the Northeast, we saw an opportunity to leverage our existing relationships with Tidewater Logistics and Shale Rail, allowing for more on-site storage in the region,” said Lee Hullman, vice president of business development, Shale Support. “We can now hold 20,000 tons of product on-site in Steubenville, Ohio, not including our new rail capabilities in Wysox, Pennsylvania.”
Because of Shale Support’s continued success in the region, it now ships frac sand via rail, barge and truck.
“Our presence has grown in the Northeast, along with demand,” said Shane Summers, vice president of logistics. “The dedicated track space in the railyards, additional barge deliveries and increased storage capacity allows us to be one of the lowest cost providers of frac sand to the region. We look forward to continually growing our presence in the region.”
Shale Support’s operations are based in Mississippi, providing the company a strategic, logistical advantage in being able to originate and terminate frac sand through a variety of delivery channels.
